  • 2 cups frozen berries preferably blue raspberries or mixed berries for color and flavor
  • 1/4 cup blue raspberry syrup adjust to taste for sweetness
  • 1 cup ice cubes crushed or whole, enough to freeze the mixture
  • 1 tsp lemon juice adds tartness and brightness

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Measure out and add the frozen berries, ice cubes, blue raspberry syrup, and lemon juice into the blender.
  2. Secure the lid on the blender and start blending on low speed, gradually increasing to high until the mixture appears slushy and smooth, with no large ice chunks visible.
  3. Stop the blender briefly to check the texture; if it’s too thick, add a splash of cold water and blend again for a few seconds until the desired consistency is reached.
  4. Pour the icy mixture into glasses, filling them right to the rim to showcase the vibrant blue color.
  5. Garnish with extra berries or a slice of lemon if desired, then serve immediately with a straw or spoon for scooping.

Notes

For an extra fun touch, rim glasses with colored sugar or add a sprig of mint. Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of blue raspberry syrup to suit your taste. Enjoy immediately for the best icy texture.
