Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed coffee, chilled or frozen into ice cubes preferably cooled overnight
  • 1 cup ice cubes for added coldness and texture
  • 2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk or simple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1/2 cup milk or cream optional, for creaminess

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Pour the chilled brewed coffee into the blender jar, making sure to include any coffee ice cubes if you prepared them ahead.
  2. Add the ice cubes to the blender, filling it up for a thick, icy texture.
  3. Pour in the sweetened condensed milk or drizzle in simple syrup for sweetness, adjusting to your preferred level of sweetness.
  4. If you like a creamier texture, pour in the milk or cream into the blender.
  5. Secure the lid on the blender, then pulse a few times to break up the ice and start blending.
  6. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth, creamy, and frosty, with some slight ice granules remaining for texture. This usually takes about 20-30 seconds.
  7. Stop the blender and check the consistency; if it’s too thick, add a splash of milk and blend briefly to loosen it up.
  8. Pour the frozen coffee slushie into glasses, creating a generous mound of icy, aromatic coffee mixture.
  9. Optionally, garnish with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or a sprinkle of cocoa if desired.
  10. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon and enjoy its rich, icy texture.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use espresso or dark roast coffee. You can also add flavorings like vanilla extract, mint, or cocoa powder for variety.
