Ingredients

  • 8 ounces sliced cooked turkey preferably sliced from the deli or leftovers
  • 4 ounces cheddar cheese shredded or sliced
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened for easy spreading
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs chopped parsley, basil, or chives
  • 4 large whole grain wraps or spinach/tomato basil tortillas
  • 2 teaspoons mustard or mayo smoky Dijon or tangy honey mustard

Equipment

  • Sharp Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Spreader or butter knife

Method

  1. Lay a wrap flat on your cutting board and evenly spread a layer of softened cream cheese across the center, about 2 inches wide.
  2. Place 2-3 slices of turkey over the cream cheese, positioning them in the middle of the wrap for even coverage.
  3. Add a sprinkle of shredded or sliced cheese on top of the turkey, distributing it evenly for gooey melty goodness.
  4. Sprinkle freshly chopped herbs over the filling to brighten each bite with fresh flavor.
  5. Spread a small line of mustard or mayo along the edge of the wrap closest to you to help seal the roll.
  6. Carefully roll the wrap from the edge closest to you, applying gentle pressure to keep everything tight and compact.
  7. Once fully rolled, press gently on the seam to seal it and use a sharp knife to cut the roll into 1- to 2-inch slices, revealing colorful layers inside.
  8. Repeat the process with remaining wraps and fillings, assembling 8-10 roll-ups in total.
  9. Arrange the sliced roll-ups on a serving platter. They can be enjoyed immediately or covered and refrigerated for up to 24 hours for later.
  10. For best flavor, let the roll-ups come to room temperature for about 10 minutes before eating, allowing the flavors to meld and the cheese to soften slightly.
